Scanning a New Document

After you have finished the Preparing to Scan process, you are ready to scan images and create new Laserfiche documents.

To scan

  1. Click the Start Scanning button Start Scanning button in the toolbar. Scanned images will appear in the Scanning Explorer Pane, under Revision. Images will be organized into documents. Documents will be grouped by their destination (as defined in Default Properties).

    Note: In the event of a paper jam, resolve the jam then select Resume Scanning under File in the menu bar. Scanning will begin processing at the point it left off.

  2. After scanning, review then store scanned documents.

Stopping Scanning

You scan stop the scanning process at any time.

To stop scanning

  1. Click the Stop button Stop button from the toolbar.
  2. If images were captured before the scanning process was stopped, review and store them, or delete them.
